Alison Binks \r\n \r\nD.O.B. 22 May 1972 \r\n \r\nOrigin Adelaide, South Australia \r\n \r\nArtist Biography \r\n \r\nAlison Binks is a contemplative artist working with landscpe subjects in a minimal and painterly way, building up layers of oil paint with a palette knife and inviting pause and introspection in the viewer. The experience of her paintings is a slowly emerging one. With subtle change of colour and tone Binks\' works convey a serenity and calm as well as altering one\'s focus to pay more attention to the subjects she chooses. Binks has traveled widely and exhibited on numerous occasions in New York and also in the United Kingdom where she undertook an artist residency in Kent. Binks currently exhibitis with Kick Gallery in Collingwood, Victoria. |
