The journey began through moving from my home town in Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne, where I studied Fashion Design at RMIT University. Upon graduation and a string of retail, admin and random jobs in between, I felt there was something missing in my life – imagining, dreaming, creating, drawing and sewing all things fun!
And Shuh. was born.
Sourcing inspiration from animations, documentaries and travel, every item produced requires time, care and intensive labour (of love!). Shuh. is about using a mixture of art and craft to turn colourful objects into something usable, wearable and fun. Raw finishes, organic shapes and oversized silhouettes are experimented with in different materials to create vibrant and unique keepsakes.
Art is about sharing and learning from a creative community. From the debut at the Craft Hatch Market to window installations for Dagmar Rousset and Poepke, and souvenirs for MOMA (MONA Market), collaborations are fun and exciting opportunities for Shuh.
Shuh. encompasses a kaleidoscope of jewellery, illustrations, prints, bedding and scarves, all designed in my home studio based in Melbourne.
