A candy coloured bump of fluorescent sugar straight to the hypothalamus. Wavering derivatives become distorted through emergent and critical practise, the only way forward is to blast through the rainbow. \r\nHovering in Melbourne to complete a Diploma of Visual Arts has been instrumental in the development of a new artistic style and a divergent subject matter. Swinging between the serious and the absurd in a carnival ride of mental exhaustion leaves Wilder’s work in a state of vibration. The meanings behind pieces stripped back to their undergarments and loosely masked behind shady articulation. \r\nChloe’s work branches into design and illustration with clients including The Far Side Wines, WA, Double Barrel Boys, WA and Jules Photography, USA. She has participated in several group shows in WA and Melbourne though this particular exhibition marks the culmination of a year’s exploration of style, subject and mental state. \r\n |
